Nathan's Birthday Bash

Waylon's buddy, Nathan, had the best third birthday party ever because it involved a real firetruck. The kids were all in awe, and not surprisingly Waylon got very hesitant and watchful before he warmed up to the idea of actually taking a ride on the truck. Of course he loved the ride, and especially loved dressing up in his fire gear when we got home.

The kids meet the fireman. Waylon is in the gray shirt on the left, and quickly decided he would rather check out the truck while holding on to mommy's leg.
Waylon and I watched as the first group of kids rode with their parents. Birthday boy Nathan is the fourth kid from the left in a real fireman suit!

Waylon almost missed the second group ride because he was too scared, but at the last minute he started pulling my hand to go on. I was very happy that I didn't have to drag him on kicking and screaming. Waylon is the second kid from the right (gray shirt).

Waylon was inspired when we got home and donned his fireman hat (best party favor ever) and coat.

Of course no fireman outfit is complete without froggie fire boots.
