Welcome to the Davis Family Blog. This blog was created just a few days after the birth of our son, Waylon, in February 2006. As if things weren't hectic enough, we added a baby sister, Avalon, in December 2007. Life with two kids is never dull. This blog is my own personal sounding board, and the closest thing to a baby book that these kids are likely to have. Thanks for visiting! Anna, Aaron, Waylon & Avalon

We're OK!
Thanks to everyone who has called, emailed, texted, etc. to make sure we are OK in the wake of the fires. Luckily, we are all fine and the closest fires, in Camp Pendleton, seem to be under control or at least far enough away that there has been no mention of any evacuations. It is smokey today, but we are VERY, VERY lucky compared with so many all around Southern California. My friend, Denise, and her adorable dog Mac decided to play it safe and came from Encinitas (San Diego County) to stay here for 2 nights. Waylon loved having Mac around, but they went home this morning since things are looking much better in that area. The Fletchers were also evacuated from Del Mar, and my Aunt Tina (The Great) has been evacuated from Lake Arrowhead. Its been a surreal week, and a great reminder of the importance of keeping friends and family safe.
