About 1.5 weeks ago, Waylon and I trekked down to Del Mar to visit Jenn and Holden Fletcher. It had been a long time since we got our boys together, and it was so much fun I am sad we waited so long. Toddlers dont do a lot of interactive play, but after they warmed up to one another, Waylon and Holden were totally playing (egged on by the Fletchers' dog, Houston). We tried, without much success, to get the boys to take a cute photo together, but of course once the camera was away and we were all upstairs the boys went crazy chasing each other, the dog, blankets, and an oversized teddy bear. It was too cute and I am very sad that I didn't capture it on film, but it was lot of fun to watch and remember!

Holden (left) and Waylon enjoy a snack. Holden is on a booster seat and looks a lot taller, but they are actually very close in height (although Waylon still wins for largest cheeks!).

Holden's blankies were a great bonding experience and both boys loved running around with them.

You can see in this photo that they are looking a lot more alike in hair color and height. What a difference a year makes (check out photos from last December to see how different they looked together then).

Holden showed Waylon all sorts of new tricks like the always popular "stand up on the table and dance" trick.

The photo on the stairs was a good idea in theory, but our two little teethers wouldn't take anything out of their mouths long enough to get a good shot.

We finally resorted to showing a Baby Einstein video to get the boys to sit still for a photo. Unfortunately, they were so mesmerized they look more like zombies than little boys.

Sitting and watching TV quickly evolved into jumping on the couch while watching TV. So many new tricks!

The sign of a truly great day--your kid falls asleep within moments of getting into the car.
