This weekend we had a great time catching up with friends from UCSB. First, we met Courtney Adamson and her fiancee, Doug, on Saturday for lunch in Long Beach. Courtney got a promotion and a transfer to Seattle so in what seems like a quick move, they are headed up North. I cant believe how few people we know that still live in Los Angeles. Courtney was one of the last contacts we had with the Santa Monica area. However, with how much Aaron visits Seattle for work, he'll probably see Courtney and Doug more now than in the past few months. Here is a picture of Doug and Courtney with Waylon. He was very good during lunch--as long as we had a bottle shoved in his mouth.
On Sunday Denise Weisman came for a visit and dinner. She was on her way home from participating in a triathalon in Ventura. I got tired just thinking about the one-mile swim she completed. In order to celebrate, she brought my favorite--sheet cake! Waylon seemed intrigued with the kung fu characters on the cake.
