We were very excited to get a visit from Uncle Dick, Aunt Kathy, and my cousin, Abby. They came by on Friday and Saturday on their way to and from San Diego. It was their first meeting with Waylon, and unfortunately he was asleep most of the time they were here on Friday, and then was cranky when I woke him up. However, he made up for it on Sunday and was in a much better mood when we met for brunch. Its like Aaron and I have been saying--brunch is by far Waylon's best time of day. People really should embrace brunch more! Anyway, I loved seeing my family, and was touched that Dick also thinks that Waylon is looking like my dad these days.
Waylon loved meeting his Great Uncle Dick, and as usual he loves to compare head size with other Strasburg family members.
Second-Cousin Abby was a natural with Waylon--at least with her mom, Kathy, keeping watch. (Congrats to Abby, who just graduated from UCSB last weekend!--anyone need to hire a Biology major???)
Great Aunt Kathy showed off her years of experience with babies as a labor & delivery nurse. As soon as she held Waylon he totally zonked out in her arms. He hasn't done that in public in a very long time.
