Soccer season came to a close in November, and they ended the U5 program with a bash. We babysat Sydney Larson to give her grandparents, who were babysitting, a break. Waylon and Syd had a blast at the soccer party, followed by Jaedon's birthday party (with a reptile show!), and an evening of fun complete with costumes.

...Then they hammed it up.
The kiddos at the birthday party, waiting for the reptile show to start. Many of Waylon's friend from the Desert room at school were in attendance. The parents were thrilled because it was at one of the best restaurants in town, Hapa J, which just happens to be owned by the birthday boys' parents.
The first reptile was fun--a turtle. They got progressively more intense. Not surprisingly, Waylon was not too into any of them. He liked the show, but refused to pet almost all of the animals. Most of the kids were pretty tripped out. (and many of the parents)
The final "act" was this crazy lizard/dragon thing that Waylon actually touched, with one finger. As soon as his finger touched it, Waylon jumped back about 3 feet.
Dinner with Syd included costume dress up for the kids. A great day!
