October Fun: Football, Halloween Parade, & a Visit with Nana

In late October Nana came for a visit, and we were very busy with fall/halloween activities. Unfortunately, I did not take many photos with Nana, but it was a wonderful visit. She helped carve pumpkins, and was able to see the kids in the costume parade. We also snuck out for a high school football game. The kids were surprisingly engaged, and we made it until the half-time show. We will definitely have to get to more games next year.
p.s. I am adding lots of events to one post to "trick" blogspot since it "hides" many of my posts when I do a lot during the same month. If anyone knows how to fix this flaw (besides actually blogging as events occur--which never seems to happen), please let me know.

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL GAME

Avalon loved cheering for the SC Tritons.

Football fun, including blankets and pom poms!

COSTUME PARADE AT SCHOOL

Buzz Lightyear and the other Beach classroom kids were herded on a long leash. We should all involve more leashes in our child rearing!

Here comes Captain America. It looks like he's trying to get close to Mulan.

Buzz during loop 2.

Captain America LOVED his shield. I was shocked to learn that he stayed in his costume all day. It makes his costume-loving-mommy so happy!

Every space ranger needs rice krispy treats to refuel.

PUMPKIN PARTY

The Gratteaus had a pumpkin carving party, which was a blast. Nana and Waylon made a beautiful creation.

VERY focused!

Don't stab Nana!

Museum worthy gourds.

Avalon was more into the playing than the carving.

PHOTOS WITH NANA
Nana had to leave so she caught a few photos with the kiddos.
