BYE BYE JAIME
Our family feels very lucky that we were able to have Jaime as Avalon's nanny from September through early March. She is from Indiana and was in California while her husband, Brandon, was stationed at Camp Pendleton with the Marines. The whole family, especially Avalon, loved Jaime. However, we decided it was time for Avalon to join Waylon at daycare and Jaime's last day was supposed to be at the end of January. Due to the burn incident, Avalon could not start school right away so Jaime was with us an extra week, which was wonderful. Her husband deployed in mid-January so please keep him in your thoughts. Jaime found out she is going to be a mommy herself and moved back to Indiana. We miss her!
AVALON STARTS AT SCHOOL
I was very sad to say goodbye to Jaime and extremely worried about how Avalon would do at daycare. She is a very picky eater and also does not nap well outside of her bed. Aaron and I were shocked the first day when she immediately was giggling and crawling around, chasing the two other girls in class. Apparently she needed some socialization. We were also very lucky that her primary teacher, Ms. Leticia is absolutely wonderful and extremely diligent about everything, including trying to get Avalon to expand her limited diet and drink out of a sippy cup. We love Leticia, and since there are usually only 2 or 3 kids in the class at a time, including Avalon, its like she still has her own nanny.
Avalon asleep in her crib at school. According to her teacher, she never cries at nap time, but she will stand up and lay down MANY times for at least 30 minutes before she finally goes to sleep. That has improved and she now goes to sleep fairly easily for both of her naps.

Avalon sits in the special seat/table contraption with her friends, Audrey and Andrew. She definitely enjoys snack time!
Avalon with Ms. Leticia. Its wonderful that Avalon easily goes to her with a giggle each morning, which makes life much easier for me!
