Even though Waylon's 5th birthday fell on a Wednesday, it was a big deal both at home and school. In the afternoon his classmates in the Desert Room celebrated with donuts and the traditional chair lift (don't ask because I have no idea). That night Aaron joined us for a trip to Chuck E. Cheese, and back home for presents. There was so much going on that I did not have time to dwell on my baby turning five. What a milestone! Waylon may have been a tough baby, but he has grown into a very sweet, compassionate little boy. He is really sweet to everyone, but especially Avalon. I am so proud to be his mom!
Getting ready for the Desert Room chair lift.
Miss Heather and Miss Tamara lifted him in the air five times while the class counted out loud. Waylon loved it!

Sissy got to join the Desert friends to celebrate Bubba's birthday.
Waylon and Sydney (her birthday is the day before)
Avalon with her teacher, Miss. Casey.
As soon as he finished his donut, Waylon sprinted down to play basketball with the big boys.
Playing the Big Bass fishing game at Chuck E. Cheese!
Waylon loved his gifts--especially anything having to do with Legos and/or Star Wars. These PJ's from Nana were a huge hit!
Avalon also got PJ's from Nana--Princesses!
