Avalon's 1st Birthday Celebration

Avalon had a very intimate, but joyful birthday celebration on December 21st. We enjoyed burgers, cake, and family time. The great thing about a small gathering was that Avalon was not too intimidated to dig into the cake and have fun! I am in shock that my baby is one. It is interesting how one year can be totally insane and yet totally and completely filled with joy.

Not quite sure about this whole candle, singing thing...
Waylon helped blow out the candle.
The princess reigns!
Waylon insisted on eating his cupcake right next to Baby Sister.
Starting to dig in...
ONE!
Avalon loved feeding cake to daddy.
Our crazy family.

Getting into it more...
Dont take a picture, I'm busy!
She is 100% in at this point. LOVING the red velvet cake.
I love this photo.
All cleaned up and ready for her three-generation picture. Nana Patty, Avalon, and Mommy.
The whole family: Nana Patty, Mommy, Avalon, Daddy, Grandpa Ed, Waylon, and Grandma Josepine. Ton, thanks for taking the picture!
Avalon surveys her gifts from atop Waylon's Lightning McQueen car.
Avalon gets her first doll from Auntie Wendy. Too cute!

The birthday girl practices cruising...getting ready to walk soon!
