In November we took the kids to Newport Beach to the West Marine mega store to find new life jackets. We were not successful, but we did discover our new favorite family outing...the Fun Zone on the Balboa Peninsula in NB. Its a total throw back with an old carousel, ferris wheel, and a few arcades that include skee ball and whack-a-mole. The kids loved it, and went nuts trying to earn tickets at the arcade. We had a ball, and have been back again.

Avalon's favorite ride is the "up, down" (aka the carousel).
It was fun for Aaron to hang out at the Fun Zone since he spent several summers there when he was a kid.
She was willing to do anything to earn tickets!
Both kids love playing in the car, so the driving games were a huge hit!
