Happy Birthday, America--2008

4th of July was busy but a lot of fun. The morning started out with our neighborhood's annual breakfast. The Davis family contributed Mickey Mouse waffles, which seemed to be a big hit. Our neighbors got a bounce house, which insured that Waylon had a great nap. The afternoon consisted of amazing barbecue hosted by our neighbors, the Carlsons, followed by fun in their pool. Waylon loves playing with Chloe and Rachel (his cul de sac buddies) so he had a wonderful day. The best part for him was enjoying a cupcake to celebrate America's birthday.

The evening was also a great time. We headed to the Trevinos for pizza and backyard play for the boys. It was lots of fun, and we got to catch up with Chris Flynn and his girlfriend, Siobhan. Fortunately, Dana is much more together than I am and actually took photos of Waylon and Matt playing. I had my camera out for parts of the day, but didn't really take anything. Maybe next year... Aaron, Nick, Chris, and Siobhan enjoyed fireworks while I headed home to get the babies to bed.

Waylon and Chloe return from their very brief involvement with the neighborhood parade
Waylon and Matt enjoy diggers, fire trucks, and other guy stuff.

More boy fun--water guns! (thanks for the pictures, Dana!)
