The Weavers are Disney experts and knew exactly how Disney first-timers should start their day. We all had breakfast with the Characters at the Grand Hotel. Waylon was very wary at first and kept insisting that the animals "go away", but he loved watching them from a distance, and as you can see above he finally warmed up enough to get a few autographs and even a picture with Dale.
Starting our adventure in front of Cinderella's castle. Joe and Cecilia were awesome tour guides.
Waylon already had ears from his buddy, Chloe's, birthday party. He was excited to wear them as he enjoyed the storybook train and boat ride. He seemed somewhat overwhelmed by the rides, but warmed up quickly.
Checking out Aladdin's castle from the boat ride. My heart melted seeing him with his ears on.
Starting out on the Alice in Wonderland ride. Fun!!!!
Not quite so fun when we're inside the dark part of the ride.
Back outside, Waylon is not sure how he feels about Alice in Wonderland.
A little leary on the Bugs Life ride in California Adventure. Waylon had his look on his face for most of the rides. He usually is very quiet and observant when experiencing something new, and Disneyland was no different. This ride went up in the air and spun "round round."
Waylon enjoyed this ride that didn't go up in the air and didn't spin. Much more his speed. The best I can describe it was like a caterpillar train.
This is my favorite picture from our Disneyland trip. The monkey leash was an absolute lifesaver. It allowed Waylon limited freedom, and he also got worn out, which is always nice for mom and dad.
Our last ride was on Jungle Cruise, and we got to experience the joy of waiting in line. Waylon did pretty well since there were so many people around to look at.
Trying to keep Waylon entertained during the loooong line
Almost to the front of the line!
Here is Waylon on the boat. His look is priceless. He had no idea what to think of everything. This photos says it all.

Oh, I'm so excited! It looks like you guys had a blast! We want to take Holden to Disneyland this summer, but I didn't know if I was crazy. I wasn't quite sure if we could keep a handle on him. Your tips here are going to make our trip much more managable. We'll have to get a monkey backpack!
Did you let Waylon check out Tarzan's treehouse? Ironically enough, it's attractions like that and the cheesy Tiki Room that the little little ones like the best. The Tom Sawyer Island has also been reconstituted and is lots of fun for little explorers.
We have had annual passes for 4 years and they are worth every penny.
